This course is offered to students as an
intermediate course to develop students’ Arabic Language proficiency in
listening, speaking, reading and writing. The objectives of the course will be
achieved through the skills integration approach and strategies that help
students to reach university level fluency.

The course is intended for students who have
little or no previous knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. It offers an introduction
to Mandarin Chinese language and culture. The course aims to provide students
with the basic proficiency for Mandarin Chinese and at the same time to expose
the Chinese characters and basic sentence-structures which will prepare
students for the higher level of Mandarin learning.

This course is executed by integrating Naqli-Aqli elements with reference to the following 3 models:
Mustawa (M1) - Al-Nusus (Ayatisasi) (Ayatization) - refers to the basic teachings of Islam, namely the Qur'an, Hadith, and authentic books of Turath.
Mustawa (M2) - Al-Muqaranah (Perbandingan) (Comparative) - refers to the differences and similarities between the approaches of Islamic knowledge and conventional science.
Mustawa (M3) - Al-Taqyim (Adaptasi) (Adaptation) - refers the process of selecting, filtering, adapt and adopt any principles, values and framework that does not conflict with Islam.
Mustawa (M4)- Al-Tafaqquh (Integrasi) (Internalising) - refers to integrate and apply the various disciplines that produce a holistic curriculum.
